I searched for the Paul Frank heart shades in local stores from DC to NYC and couldn't find any in stock so I purchased through amazon.com. If they would have had store models then I probably would not have puchased it after seeing the quality difference between the other Oobr models.
One of the reasons I chose this model was due to another model that I puchased not fitting correctly in my spouse's vehicle. I liked the feel and quality appearance of the drift I did find and most importantly, it fit perfectly. My child wanted pink and the snowberry was out of the question because of the white base color. Black matches the interior perfectly besides I'm not crazy about any white furniture. Unfortunately none of the pictures I've seen show the large warning stickers plastered all over the viewable plastic areas. Think of how bad the car visors look with them, it's worse on the seat. You can thank government regulators for that. None of the Britax products we've used have them in the wrong places.
The material used in the heart shades seat was not the same as the drift I've seen in stores. It looks like some kind of thin poly-blend and not sure how durable it will be. It looks like a lower grade material and the stitching didn't look like it would stand the test of time.
The box I received was really dusty as if it's been sitting in a wharehouse for a while and one of the edges of the bottom was not securely taped. The tape on top of the box wasn't the best job either. After opening the box I noticed the plastic bags were yellowish and didn't appear to be fresh clear plastic. The seat cushion, back and headrest had excess material that wrinkled and nothing like I've seen or like any of the pictures. It almost looks like someone has been sitting in the seat for a long time and streached the fabric. There were a couple of areas on the pink fabic that appeared to be soiled and had to wipe it up. Some plastic parts had what may be scuff marks and I didn't feel too comfortable with the whole package.
I called Clek to ask about the fabric and was told to get an exchange. I contacted amazon.com and I'll be getting another one next week.
Did I get a returned item and paid full price or are the heart shades of this quality? The higher price is for a name and massed produced prints. My spouse doesn't care for the monkey but I want a corrrect fitting seat that's safe for the little one. If the next one is like the first then back it goes and my child will have to settle for black as it was my first choice anyway.
This is the hassle with buying on-line. In local stores I always look for dates and proper seals on the boxes. You can't do that on-line. I can go back to the store and get exchanges or refunds in minutes. The only reason I purchased this here was due to the lack of local availability. Buying local for many things is usually the better choice when you have the choice.

Amazon.com was great at sending me an advanced exchange quickly but unfortunately the second one had the same issue as shown in the pictues I shared. The quality was not acceptable for a booster seat of this price. I returned both and thank amazon.com for paying postage both ways.
I wish I would have tried the seat belt when I tested at the local store. Although the seat fit like a glove in my spouse's vehicle, I didn't try strapping the seat in since it was raining and felt bad for the sales associate getting wet. The seat belt doesn't buckle properly in a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee without pushing the seat over as much as you can and forcing the belt into the buckle every time. We couldn't live with that and it's a fault of the vehicle, not the booster seat. We did find a Sunshine Kids seat to fit.
