Ive had a nonstick 8" pan for about 22 years it still works great way longer than anything I've bought before or after.
2 secrets you should know, don't use excessive heat, and dont wash in the dish washer.
And of course one you know already no metal utensils.

Got this pan to replace the same kind and size. OK,OK... before you say something nasty about the product, I have to say that the first one we had was from an All-Clad grouping we got as a wedding gift almost 10 years ago. It's been used HEAVILY. The pan itself is in excellent condition, but the non-stick coating is getting a little worn. Still definitely usable, though! I do believe the non-stick surface the company uses now is an improved version. Anyway.... my husband and I truly love the cookware. We have added many more pieces to it over the years and have never been disappointed. It heats evenly, doesn't burn, cleans easily, nice weight,.... What more can I say? Good cookware really does make a HUGE difference to the final product. At this point I can't imagine using a different brand. Honest!

I love this pan. The weight is perfect, it feels good in my hand and my eggs turn out beautiful everytime. My father accidently left it on the burner after making eggs and even after getting too hot (I caught it after a minute or two) the pan was still in great shape. I never used my old 8" except for eggs, but find myself constantly reaching for this one. I only handwash and have had to prohibit others in my family from touching due to fear they will put in dishwasher. Actually it was probably overkill since none of them even know how to turn the stove on!
