I bought this item because I was reading a magazine which recommended it. I have had it over 1 month. The pros on the dispenser is that it does store the coffee also it is handy because it eliminates scooping the coffee. The cons are that you need to squeeze the handle all the way otherwise you will get a small amt of coffee and it does leak some grounds when storing. I would recommend this dispenser. The cost is reasonable.

This is exactly the same as a unit I had, used and loved for many years -- and when it came time to replace it the original brand had been discontinued. I was so relieved to find this -- it's the only coffee dispenser I've seen. Yes I will agree that it does leak a little bit of coffee, but I didn't find that to be enough to take a star away -- if you give it a little shake when it's still over whatever you filled that will help. So you need to be prepared to wipe up a few coffee grounds, but not so much more than just dispensing coffee from the original can. I love that this unit releases exact measures and holds enough coffee to not have to refill it all the time. It makes storage and use really easy and it also looks good.

I like this coffee despenser very well. I bought it because it is attractive and the canister that I was using cracked. I wanted something that kept the coffee sealed and liked the fact that you don't even have to open this to despense the coffee thus keeping ground coffee at its best. I noted that several reviewers said it leaked. This is not the case and the design makes a true leak impossible. Having said that you need to be carefule to tap it a couple of times to get all of the coffee out of the despensing chamber otherwise it will be released when you set the dispenser down or pick it up. This is no different then getting all of the grounds out of the corners of a square coffee scoop. Perhaps here it is packed a bit more tightly since it dispenses from the bottom. The unit has a tray so even if some coffee remains when you set it down it lands in the tray. In the end this is functional, attractive and fairly priced ... if you are a gadget kind of person it is a must have.
